Growing Up:
The hardest thing about being a Dad is watching your kids grow up and knowing that you can never go back and re-capture those moments that were so important.
A Fathers Anxiety:
Today is a sad day for me because my son has an in school suspension. I'm not sad that he's being punished but because of his attitude after the ordeal and that he didn't come tell me about what happened that day. It's hard to see you child pull away from the things you're trying to teach them.
Report Card:
I remember my school days as ones of daydreaming, trying to figure out why other kids were always doing homework and coming to class with nothing to turn in, not knowing that we had a test, or being able to answer questions in class. No one took the time to show me how to get organized, and now as an adult being organized is an artificial process managed by computers and my wife. I don't want my son to end up flying by the seat of his pants and just barely making it through life.
Lost and Found:
My little boy gets so wound up about things. I'm still trying to find a way to reduce the percieved drama in his life.
Summer Vacation:
I loved going on vacation when I was a little boy and I wanted my boys to have the same fun times I did. I'm not sure if they'll remember where we went as much as the antics we got into.
Bad Morning:
Mornings never seem to go by without a hitch, but thismorning I just blew it with my youngest son. Instead of me overseeing him getting ready for school, I allowed time to slip away and everything went downhill when it was time to go.
